Funds of Cordaid

Cordaid

Cordaid is strongly embedded in Dutch society. Most people in the Netherlands probably know Cordaid best by our funds: Cordaid is the driving force behind Cordaid Memisa, Cordaid Mensen in Nood (People in Need), Cordaid Kinderstem (Voice of the Child), Cordaid Microkrediet (Micro Credit) and the Cordaid Bond Zonder Naam (No Name Alliance).

Cordaid Memisa focuses on health care in developing countries. Through this fund, Cordaid endeavours to create sustainable improvement in health care while making it accessible to all. We are providing resources and knowledge to local populations. Local initiatives, hospitals and clinics rely on our support. We also provide health care information services and train medical personnel in developing countries.

Cordaid Mensen in Nood
is on hand to provide urgent assistance for people affected by natural disaster, war, or humanitarian crisis. We help build and rebuild houses, schools and lives. And our efforts include reducing the human toll of disasters by improving people's preparedness.

Cordaid Kinderstem fights for the welfare of children in slums. With this fund, we are helping ensure that these children can go to school, have a home, and count on food and clean drinking water. We are giving them places to play and to take part in sports. And in addition to financial assistance, we support local organisations with training, support and information. So they can reach their goals on their own steam.

Cordaid Microkrediet strives to improve the economic potential of the poor. By standing up for them, we are fighting to level the economic playing field and open access to markets and financing. Through international lobbying, working with local business, developing sustainable production chains and opening up micro credit to the poor, we are removing the barriers to full economic participation that they face.

Cordaid Bond Zonder Naam is about promoting charity towards those around us, solidarity in Dutch society and projects offering aid to vulnerable groups. We also provide one-time emergency financial assistance to people struck by problems beyond their control and who might otherwise never get back on their feet.
